Options for keyless entry (no alarm / no remote start)???

Gang, what are y'all using for keyless entry these days? I've been out of the market for a looooong time. I tried searching but not much came up...

I don't want or need a security system or remote starter. I just want keyless entry, which I don't think my '92 TT has.

Seems like all the major mfgs i remember (python/viper) only have security systems built in.

What options are everyone else using/recommending these days?

I wouldn't spend ridiculous amounts of money on an alarm. An alarm will deter amateurs but if someone wants your car they will take it. A kill switch is a better option imo plus a cheap alarm I had a hornet on my 3000gt with remote start was $350 or so including installation.

I read about a remote keyless entry that worked via proximity sensor. They called it the ifob. It looked really cool, but I couldn't find a step by step write up on it...

So my question Kelvin....My 92 has the factory alarm and everything is stock and works. I I buy that Amazon fob do I just need to buy a used keyless system (The factory one that is behind the seatbelt panel on the driver side) and then program and good to go?

That fob is the stock keyless entry, what you get is the fob and the box to program it to, plain and simple, as far as i know they sell the fob with the corresponding rf box, make sure all your locks operate or you will fry etacs and the remotes, anyone that says it can't happen obviously has not dealt with etacs for 20 years

I am pretty sure my car never had keyless entry so I would need whats in the rear cover panel too. I doubt they had it in there but just didn't sell you the fob till the following year model.
