Has anyone experienced a moderate to heavy front end collision using a tubular crash bar?
This is really more of a curiosity than anything else, I don't really have a sense for how the different materials (tubular steel vs box aluminum) respond, but I want a bit of intuition about it. I figure, assuming that dont crack, that probably one of three things happens: they are stiffer and put a bit more force into the frame, the are similar in stiffness and things are about normal, or they are softer and cause a bit more engine damage.
