The infamous slashing of the radio connectors :( Ive tried looking up the diagrams for my car but they are different and the colors are off so i really need help with this. i have a 1992 3000gt vr4 that came with a single din radio from the factory. ill write out all the wires and corresponding colors and how many there were. if you could match them up to what they go to or give me a diagram with the same colors id be forever grateful. also i need to find the 12v constant fuse as the red/black wire doesnt light up with a tester key on or off and id rather not run a wire directly off the battery
anything with a * has silver or grey dots on the wire as well (i seperated some as well on the basis of the dots)

Just test the wires to figure it out, its not that hard with a multimeter and a 9v battery.

12v constant, is that, 12v no matter if the car is on or off
12v switched, nothing when the car is off, 12v when car turned on.
ground, make your own, ground to a bolt behind the radio.

To test the speakers, take your 9v battery and two wires, one to each terminal. When you have a speakers pair of wires, the speaker will pop, or sound like static. Do that for all speakers. Make sure you bypass the stock amp if still in the car. The only wire left should be the power antenna. Take a drill battery and touch it to the remaining wires, while the other end is grounded. When you hit the power antenna wire, the antenna will go up.

forgot about illumination. nothing with lights off, 12v with lights on

Decent advice except the OP will not know if he has the correct polarity with the speakers.

If he gets them mix-matched (not all wired up the same way) he will have nothing for bass, due to the speakers being out of phase.

No I don't think it came with a factory amp. What about all the repeat colors on the wires. Do I take all the white/blue stripe wires and connect them together to the wire for the stereo harness? thanks for the input guys I really appreciate and I can't believe I forgot about the12volt.com

Sounds like you changed radios. Dash speakers were fed from the amp. You need to connect them up separately because the radio plug does not have those connections.
