Short and to the point. Tranny has metal chunks in it, shop cant come up with anything (they could only fix it if it was a seal or something). Need someone to take it apart, tell me whats wrong, and fix it if possible. Its a 18 spline 91 RT/TT trans. I do engine work but I've never done anything with transmissions and would rather have someone who knows em lend a hand. I'll pay you, of course.

The guys over at Transmetic are good friends of ours, my dad knows the guy who started the business.
They took one look at it (didnt even take it apart) and said they didn't want to deal with it.

Great. First you car, which is the same as my '92, grenades.
Now you say the one place I'd go to fix mine if I had to won't touch it.. :(
I'm a little surprised, I know the owner doesn't like these cars, he cringes and finds something else to do whenever I've stopped by. His son, I think his name's Kevin, seems willing to work on them though. At least he sealed up my weepy transfer case and knew all about the recall...

They checked your emissions on a 93?! PM me if you want to come to my families shop (it's right near Transmedic) for an inspection.

I am actually going with a 25 spline conversion. Already bought it.
I'm going to sell this one, and if no one buys Ill just mess with it and start to get into transmission work.
Thanks though :)
