Another Engine Swap - LS style

You know I'm messing with you dude. Good luck on the build, looks awesome.

I do see through your plan though, keep swapping engines into your car so you can be #1 on all the quicklists ... 4G swap quicklist, LS swap quicklist, hmm maybe SR swap quicklist, v-twin swap quicklist? :lol3:

Eric, it's easy for me to ask while I sit on my ass, and hard for you to do (and impossible for me to do), but from an engineering perspective, did you think about (a) spacing the upper suspension mounts an inch or so above the factory mount or (b) making pivots and mounting your struts horizontally?

Still changes the LCA angle the same as dropping it on the coilover. (I actually had to lengthen the coilover quite a bit because of the mustang knuckle design. (I could run a longer strut now if I wanted to).

The drop spindle lowers the car without hurting LCA and roll center. Downside is, less wheel clearance. With the outer tie rod set how it is, it barely clears the 18's. Probably won't clear 17 front runners that I will eventually get so I'll have to do some adjusting/grinding.
Yeah I was imagining you bound by the strut length - with two degrees of freedom you're free to lower the hub relative to the body. But then you run into you wheel clearance issue and your rack is super low. I was imagining you could have put your rack inline with anything that's left of your subframe and still had horizonal LCAs. Like a Miata (dual-A-arm vs. Macpherson aside).

We stole a lot of that geometry for our FSAE chassis back in college.

Again just thinking out loud.
