could this be a problem? only noticed it recently on the couple hot days we've had. id drive down to my other shop and back park it go inside for about 10 or 15 min and go back out to go to the parts store and its a real pain in the ass to start. now.. i know its got a new starter. new coils, plugs, wires, cas and cps. now.. i could be wrong but im not really wanting to wear down a starter trying to get this going every time. in the morning by the way. no problem to start it. let it cool down no problem. only while its still hot. do i need to find something to cool down the injectors to keep that gasoline from turning into vapor or am i completely off here. somebody please help me out with this one....

Not likely, Remember, your fuel is always moving. From tank to filter, to fuel rails and back to tank. Ah, you do have a fuel return yes? your fuel pressure regulater is a real simple device. In order to get fuel pressure, your regulater just chokes off the return line. Thus making pressure on the feed line. Did you check your fuel pressure? is the pressure still there after you turn off the engine. Week pump, bad regulater, bad Oring in pump stem. If you need to, just stop by and use my stuff to check it.

hahaha! she showed up to work the next day and was like " where the hell did those tire marks come from?!" i was like "uhh.. idk.... then mike was telling me how long he smelt burnt rubber from my burnout and she overheard and got PO'd and told me to clean it up. i was like..... uh... what do i use to get melted rubber off of concrete. i think over time it will dissappear... a long time hahaha

Could you please be a little more clear than "pain in the ass to start".

Does it crank and just not start? Could be faulty fast idle (that wax filled thing under your throttle body with the coolant lines running to and from it)

If it doesn't crank at all, then click click start.

it cranks and cranks but will not start. untill i try a couple times. but i tested vacum on the fuel pressure regulator and its good. i also did a leak down test on my injectors and they are good. i also hooked her up to a motorvac and cleaned out all built up carbon. did a throttle bore as well to clear out my intake. well after a couple tries i realized it starts when my key goes back to the on position. so... once i confirmed... im pretty sure its the ignition switch.... i ordered one from fazelli and will be there monday. we'll see what happens

so it cranks and turns over? so no clicking?
hmmm. i would check your valve timing. also could be crank angle sensor or cam angle sensor. let's not jump to conclusions just yet. check your timing.

hope the ignition switch works out. otherwise, the "click cilck start" fix is about $20 in parts and take 10 minutes to install.

It starts everytime when its cold, but not when its hot? If it were the ignition switch, it would struggle regardless of temp.

Fast idle.

When it's hot and won't fire up, can you hear the fuel pump running? Could be your fuel pump resistor or relay. I would get a jumper wire with clip on each end. Get the car hot where it won't start and jumper from the hot side terminial the fuel pump bypass wire. It's located in the corner behind the battery. I believe it's the blue one but I'm to lazy to get up and check. You can test it first and make sure the it makes the pump run.

NO, NOT THE BLUE ONE! The blue one is used in the idle re-set procedure.

The one you want is the black one, the one connected to the black wire with the blue stripe.

And again, temp related starting problems, check your FIAV... here is a post that describes what it does, and a way to bypass it (not a fan of bypassing it myself)

Please do so, thank you for your cooperation in this matter
