Ok here is the deal, I am looking for a hood for my car... and well the only one I really like is the m-16 fighter aero hood from pitroad. the problem is these fuckers are expensive!!! man!!!

those anyone know where to the the real thing, no replicas!

ok I just found them on www.gtpro.com and well still the price is crazy... now I know u get what u paid for. But there's got to be a special or something ;)

also what is the benefits of getting the hood made out of carbon fiber and/or fiberglass?

whats better? why? whats more durable? scratches? all that good stuff...

also those anyone know if this hood would cause (water base) problems? Like if you leave the car out side and it rains... will water get inside anything that could get damage, like spark plugs, air filter, other electrical cmpts.

any info would be great!

D...

I hear too many bad stories about replicas, on how they don't fit right, they have too many imperfections, and shit like that... what about the other stuff about the water?

Not sure about the water question, but fiberglass will probably be about 5lbs heavier. As for the other stuff carbon fiber is stronger, but you shouldnt have a problem with fiberglass either. Just look at it this way, the money you spend on painting it will probably bring it around the cost of the CF hood. So if you would leave the CF look then you dont need to paint and that justifies the extra money.
