Hello,

My CEL is on on my 93 3kgt

Where can I find a cheaper obd1 scanner? They have ones for $20-50 at places like O'rielys, Autozone, etc. But none say they work for Mitsubishi. Import ones only say like toyota, lexus, nissan, infinity, etc. Like this one

Equus Innova 3173 - Import Code Reader | O'Reilly Auto Parts

where can I get one for Mitsubishi?

thanks in advance

multimeter is going to be the least expensive, assuming you have access to a multimeter.

datalogger will allow you to read codes and much more however.

This import code reader accesses a vehicle's on-board computer to retrieve engine and electronic transmission codes and ABS vehicle computer codes. Diagnostic trouble codes flash on the dashboard's "check engine" light. It connects to your vehicle's computer self-test connector and allows it to output the service codes through the vehicle's instrument panel indicator lights. It includes detailed instructions in English, French, and Spanish with illustrations and code definitions applications.

I am looking to purchase and ODB1 mitsubishi scanner if anyone has one for sale. It need to be able to perform all resets and interpret all the codes. ANyone know of anything other than the dealer tool that can do this? It must be for 1991-1993 vr4's obd1 interface

Just get a Data Logger like the Hand Held Halo from 3SX.com or similar. Not only will you be able to read and reset the codes, but you will see what is going on to throw those codes. It will make a great diagnostic tool as well.

Even though it is simple to read a CEL code with a analog multi meter the information you would get from a data logger is going to be much more helpful.
