Hi guys,

I am ready to get raped by the smog place again. I am now stuck for several years going to a TEST ONLY facility and paying $100 for an enhanced smog, even thought they only do the standard test (because of AWD) Before I go pay any more money, I was wondering if anyone had, knew how to make, knew where to buy/rent, or anything to get an Exhaust gas analyser. The TEST ONLY place charges $77 for a pretest and I would hate to pay that. I just need to make sure my car will pass before I go fork out money I already do not have.

Any ideas? Please help . . .

You may be able to go to any smog test facility for a pre-test. Just call a few and ask if you can test your car and how much. I can't imagine that it would cost more than about $20. Renting the equipment would be way too expensive for what you're looking for.
