last night i went to my car after work and i noticed my brake pedal had little to no resistance and my brakes are barely working. the fluid was just barely lower than it was before and when i opened the fluid cap there were 3 medium sized bubbles at the top. im thinking theres a leak somewhere but i can't really figure out why it wouldve started the way it did.

if you have any suggestions of what it could be or how i could diagnose/fix it let me know, because other than looking for wet or dryrotted lines i cant think of anything.

p.s. if it helps i dropped my car off at sears about a week ago to get new tires, i was thinking maybe they knocked something out of place? idk just an idea. thanks for the help.

I suggest you try bleeding all 4 brake calipers. If the brake fluid looks and smells burnt, you will need to flush the brake system until you bleed out clean brake fluid. This may require you to bleed each caliper several different times.

Start with the wheel closest to the brake fluid reservoir. Then work your way to the rear wheel that has the most distance from your reservoir. Again, you may need to repeat this process several times.

Actually you want to start at the furthest point from the brake res.

Also, sounds like the master cylinder to me, is the pedal slow to return?
