Yeah there was a company out there that turned the motor around and made it RWD. They must be parting it out or maybe they are making production parts now.

Cool concept I think but kinda a waist.

I may get yelled at for posting the link since for a few months there it was reposted a million times, but here is there web site with what they did.

Read the auction

The buyer provides:

See detailed list at Kingsbury Motorsports under “RWD Conversion”
Engine and Transmission
Driveshaft
Straight Rear Axle with brakes (Mopar 8 Âľ, Ford 9-inch, or similar)
Fasteners
Body modifications
Various links and brackets as listed
All installation

So the "kit" is $1000, then you would have about another $3000 minimum in parts to complete it, as well as labor.

AWD beats RWD on the street. Hands down. Why would you go thru all the money and effort to lose AWD?

Yes there is quite abit of the vehicle left. I own it. bought the rolling chasis from him last year. I the process of rebuilding it and going with twin sc and twin turbos instaed of the single set up he used.. still working on it and it was a great job he did. very unique car. engine was put inline, used a 400 turbo tranny with 350 stall and dodge viper rearend.
