So as the temps keep getting colder she keeps getting harder and harder to start up. So took a degree of timing out and increased transient throttle correction from 10%to 20% and made a major difference in start-up. So anyone writing a tune taking timing out in cold temps can help reclaim some lost driveability. It allows the pistons to travel up farther in the cylinder giving you more compression and puts fuel closer to the spark plug to light it off. Makes a big difference when you got bigger cams with more valve overlap which lets more compression past the valves on coldstart.

Went to fuel fest in scottsdale probably had about 120 people talk to me about the build and more that didnt and supposedly some big camera crews were filming it. Most people got their interest peaked by the holley intake or some were like eh mild aesthitics build then started actually looking at it and were like oh shit this is insane. Even the flagger was like holy crap a 3000gt did you swap it? it doesnt sound like a mitsubishi..I replied it is in fact a mitsubishi 6g72 just built to shit all-motor lol. So out here representing in scottsdale. Tyrese had us running to our cars lemans style to do some 2-stepping so you know I had to join in lol..

That’s awesome! Gotta feel good after all that work
So many people asking me about it. getting the tour. Most of them either got drawn in by the holley intake thinking i fwd v8 swapped a 3kgt, Or going eh its a mild aesthetics build then looking under the hood and go oh shit this is insane!. Prolly a 120 people by the end of the night bunch of groups of 4-5 people. Then tyrese had us lemans style running to our cars at the end of the night to 2 step our cars. And on the way out a bunch of kids asking me to rev it up and having it throw a bunch of fireballs out the exhaust lol. Had a good time man. Makes it worth all the time and effort.

Guess I should move my build to the actual build catagory.

So figured id finally post an update. car caught on fire. Got the engine out, Welded up the firewall and sealed off any holes, Sending the car off to velocity race fab for a new cage. Going for a wilwood floor mounted pedal box, New hardlines, 280 cams, dual (quads) 4150 throttle body intake, Re-paint the engine bay and hood, repair the engine, and re-build the haltech harness and body harness. Velocity race fab should be here in the morning to pick her up for the new roll cage. Thats the single most expensive thing. After that should be a bit faster.

Shes off to get her new rollcage @chrissadowski at velocity racefab. Then moving to the next phase re-painting the engine bay, pedal box and hardlines, engine install, harness. Going tp a floor mounted pedal box so no oem master cylinders required. But lots of new clutch, brake and fuel hardlines.
