Going to call out warzone already i'm essentially doing this build because of him.
So heres the car when i first bought it.

At this part i was just trying to catch up with the maintenance.
Did the 120k cam seals, front crank seal, Timing belt, idler pullies etc etc..

First mod was a cai and trying to clean up the engine bay a bit

Clutch went out so picked up an exedy stage 1 clutch, Competition clutch 14lbs chromoly flywheel, Did the clutch damper delete, Ran a braided clutch line,
Then half way through putting it back together decided screw it and did the vr4 front end conversion, install coilovers, drilled rotors, ceramic pads, braided brake lines from 3sx, motul brake fluid. And replaced the control bushings with poly. Honestly just because cost a ton and a took a long time to source the parts. No idea why i went with red on the trans but steam cleaned it sanded ti down and painted it because it was getting corroded and thought why not? Im in AZ with no garage so doing anything sucks balls in 120 weather

After all this installed the new wheels i bought before the clutch went out and i made a mid build decision to do a conversion so of course i needed spacers to make the wheels fit with the Stealth TT calipers.

Then went and had a 2.5in single exit exhaust made

Currently doing headers, IMR intake plenum, q45 TB, and 3.5in Cai to adjust for the new TB.

Update on the Headers, wideband, chrome ecu, IMR intake plenum and 90mm Q45 tb

Would be done with it already if my intake manifold would get here soon. Should be this week. Then will be headed for a tune for now. Then ill sit down and learn Chrome. Have the software and tactrix cable w.adapter for the tune. Wideband is wired into the ecu. Just need the manifold to finish

oh yea got more pics. Im not familiar with the intake manifold either. IMR is having to fabricate a 1-off intake manifold due to a website issue and the one they were selling wasn't the one i bought so they took down my specs like q45 flange in oem location, Short runners, Circular surge tank, Its supposed to be very similar to the dynamic racing one.

Took her to the IFO in chandler. Didnt expect to win anything i enter the competition just to be involved.

Figured id drop an update and a pic.Installed the intake manifold and the 90mm TB a while back and It was totally worth the wait. Only slight problem is i have traction issues all over the place now. With the solid engine mounts and the abrupt response it does beat you up a bit on take off. Its a riot. Now on to the next mod. Im able to grab either some BC cams and get the head build done (Cams,Gears, uodated lifters,3sx Hi-rev springs and retainers,P&P,+1mm oversized valves) or grab a Quaife lsd. Nothings been bought yet. Suggestions on whether to go for cams or the lsd? Both will ultimately be done just a matter of which one to do first.

Picked up a set of evo 10 wheels as well. And recently fitted new tires.

Going to start pulling the engine And disassembling it for the Build. There's a couple things left I wanna do ,but I can get all that done during the Build. A set of solid lifters, 3sx Fuel rails and 650cc Injectors. Builds Getting spicy .

Also Forgot to add all these parts in for the build as well lmao. A full set of Ferrea competition plus +1mm intake and exhaust valves. And supertech viton valve stem seals. So yea its a full top to bottom engine build along with a full head port and polish. Pistons are .040 oversized. And going to port and polish the entirety of the intake manifold. And if i can manage it i'm Reworking the intake manifold to something along the lines of this for more power up top.

So pulled the engine to begin the build. Go it torn down atm. Going to Need a bit of machine work for the pistons and i'm porting&polishing the heads/intake manifolds in the meantime.
Heading to Orlando for a vacation haven't had 1 in like 8 years. Once i'm back sending the block and heads to get the machine work done. Mostly boring for .040 for the pistons, Valve job for the Ferrea valves, Balancing the crank, Trueing the head&block. Then on to reassembly.

Build update post: Got the heads ported and polished. Took the block to the machine shop along with the new bottom end. It's getting Cleaned, Bored,Honed,Decked,Freeze plugs swapped out. The crank is being polished and balanced to the new bottom end (12.5:1 pistons, bc625 rods,Fidanza alumnium flywheel). Heads will be dropped off on monday to have the new +1mm valves fitted, New valve guides installed, And decked.

So got an update. Got the heads and crank back from the machinist. Crank got turned .25mm or .010in and rebalance with the new bottom end. Heads were resurfaced and had the new +1mm valves, bronze valve guides, BC hi-rev springs ,titanium retainers, and supertech stem seals installed so full valve job and resurface. Cost for the machine work was $1000 .$720 for the heads and $300 for the crank.

Swapped out the oem Timing pully with the non-adjustable one after this photo was taken. Came off a 2001-2004 kia optima v6. And new idler puller.

Still need to Put the trans in, Then drop the rear motor mount to get the longtubes back on the studs..Yea should caught that while dropping it in but I didnt. Got a set of deatschewerks 550cc injectors in and a warlboro 255 lph fuel pump installed. Need to get the flex fuel sensor installed, But atm finishing up getting the engine primed then buttoned up. And yea did the Piston-valve clearance using some clay. Kind of a pain having to reassemble the engine twice, but oh well.

Update: Fixed some oil leaks going on with the oil pan near the oil filter housing and rear main crank seal housing. She just needs a tune now, seems to be running good regardless.

Posting up a test drive video. caveat: My go pro doesnt have good picture quality lol. Gotta get the adapter for my JVC camera to mount it to my roll cage.

Even in its current state she pulls HARD. Can kind of get an idea in the video by how far the front squats when you back off the throttle. Drive starts at 7:53. Time stamp provided in the pinned comment.

Re-sealing the oil pan. To get the engine tuned.

Roll bar install.

So updates: Installed a breton performance 6g75 holley intake adapter. Modified the oem waterneck to clear the intake plate. Converted to speed density through the SDT, Going to purchase a haltech Ecu with a premium harness and going stand alone. So got rid of any intake restrictions. Also Going to a local custom ITB shop and looking to get a custom 3x3 itb manifold and ditching the intake plenum for downdraft ITB's. New Ecu should make it all possible to get tuned. Had the Ecu fairly tuned but going SDT really threw off the tune so effectively at square 1 again. Sdt is almost impossible to find its matching comport on my tablet to tune it. So that plus convinient timing I'm opting for a standalone ecu should solve this issue and future mods.

Also picked this thing up over the last year and immediately had to fix some stuff lol. Got it for cheap because of quarter panel damage and on the first drive home the carbon hood flew up (most likely because no hood pins were installed because it gave no warning until after the carnage). Smashing the windshield, some roof damage, Broken driver side mirror and obviously the hood being torn to shreds. Then Later managed to yank the throw-out bearing from the pressure plate on a quick 2-3 shift and had to replace the clutch master cylinder as it was leaking at the firewall. So replaced and re-painted the hood and various other fixes. Still gotta fix the quarter panel..Currently on the 3000gt once thats settled im going back to fixing the original damage from being pit manuevered by the cops lol.
