Is there a universal code to unlock my radio? Today I took off the negative battery terminal and I guess I left it off too long cuz now my radio is locked. I can't get it to do anything except say "CODE" so I was thinking/hoping there would be a universal code. Thanx everyone.

Pull your head unit out and get the serial number from it. Call your Mitsu dealer and ask for your radio code with the given serial number. You *might* have to call a few to find someone who will give it to you over the phone... and apparently some dealers try to charge for it. 
did you try typing in numbers 3x's or more and it was the wrong thing? if that's all then that just means that the head unit locked. Let the car sit with the key in the ignition to that point where you can turn on the lights and stuff, but the car isnt on. Let it sit for an hour like that. Then the unit will reset itself, and you'll be able to re-enter the code. in the mean time you can call the mitsu dealer like king said, and get the code that way.
