Not necessarily. I legally bought 3 different cars and got rid of them with no title. They were all parted in the end but I never once had the title in my hands for them.

He could have bought the car, never transferred the title and lost it.

The last parts car I bought the guy even gave me the last registered owners name so I could contact him about a title since he had never transferred it and lost it.

1991 range from 1,300 to 3,500...for a 91 is too much, better find a newer model...although it is top shape, i personally wouldnt get it for that much... i hope a 3si member gets it
