91 TT...last year my flex hose sprung a leak, quick cheap fix, 20 bucks got me a new hose. now i'm having similar symptoms, however i'm not losing any fluid this time around. I'm expecting this is one of the cylinders. It will cost me ~150-175 for new cylinders, but ~50 bucks for the two rebuild kits. I'd obviously prefer rebuilding it to save that extra cost at the moment...but what should i do?
Symptoms:
Gain pressure when car is off and pumped a few times, once the car is turned on, most pressure is lost. I can gain pressure back if the car is at a hard acceleration.
Occasioanlly I can't get the car in gear til i pump the pedal a few times to gain enough pressure. It requires the pedal to be pushed all the way down to get the clutch disengaged enough to shift...sometimes it goes smoothly, sometimes it is a little rough.
No loss of fluid at the moment...
