looking for solid diffeences. is the top mount the same? bottom mount? is the strut diameter the same? spring length? why dont people use the ground control coilovers on their NA. i ask because i know of someone who has TT springs on his rear struts with no issues. i would really like to know length and mounting differences

Solid differences are the angle in which they sit at. If you put stock TT springs on an NA I would think it would actually raise the car because TTs are heavier. I know its possible to use TT S-Techs on an NA car as I've seen it and it still looks good.

so that will work awesome. now how about overall strut length? or mounting setups.

i ask because i am now in a country where FWD 3s does not exist. So anyway i can upgrade my suspension without overseas shipping is ideal. i am very willing to experiment. just looking for specs and ideas from people that have them

The bottoms are completely differeny. Bolt sizes and how they mount are different. AWD Struts will not mount on an FWD with out some sort of solid steel spacer installed inside the bottom bolt part. We know this from R&D'ing the whole thing years ago when Tein only offered the HA for the AWD and we developed a spacer for fitting the AWD kit on the FWD setup. But then Tein switched to the FLEX and have them for the FWD platform so the development was moot :)

thanks :D i figured you guys would know something about this. as far as the spacer goes. is this a difficult prospect or can it just be fabbed up. i ve got some metals tech buddies that can make one for me. and how about the strut diameter. is it different? would ground control coilovers work on an NA strut?

vr4 is longer even that crome thing inside is longer and bottom is longer also
struts are same
i was playing with them all 2 days :D :D :D
i got ground control coilover springs for my car, they were for N/A buti had N/A front shocks and they fit perfectly and rears fit great too
VR4 and N/A rear shrings are same hight but when you look at them they are very different

its not that it weighs considrably more. its the fact that outweighs what the stock NA springs are rated for. plus i would like a stiff suspension anyways. i do want a coilover system. and im going to get one. its just that i will either be purchaing an AWD or converting mine from FWD either way im not going to invest in NA coilovers that i will not need in a year. just trying to be financially mature. you never know when this car is going to need money thrown at it
