I was looking for a link on more information about Ray Pampena's 3.7L and 4.5L stroker kit. I know he was talking about this last year some time, but what is the status on this? Anybody have a link?

I am very interested in this upgrade. From my understanding, were you switching the crank so that we don't have to bore out to oversized pistons?

talking about that, what would be the price range on this kit. (just an estimate)

3.1L is just from being bored out. There is a stroker kit out already but no one wants to be one of the 1st to try it and I think it is only 3.4L. I have the link somewhere, I'll post it later.
its a stock 3.5 crank ground to fit in a 3.0 block...scary stuff lol. i was doing that years back but it weakened an already weak part.

Waiting patiently (for now) for the 4.5L.... ;)
the shame of it all is i have all the engines worked out..all the bluprints done, custom rod sets and pistons for both. all the bob weights are worked out and i am now waiting for crankshafts. having crankshafts made is not just calling in to a manufacturer and telling them u want a 3.7L crank hahaa. they dont care what it is or what it fits they just want measurements and the material requirements. ive learned alot over the years with my 3S engines and race engines in general...things about crank flex and whipping and the reasons i broke a stock forged crank already. i put all this together into these stroker kits with 300M crankshafts and wait till you guys see the rods that they use! id love to share ALL the info but people will be stealing my hard work for sure.
this setup is a proven design that is run in turbo domestic race engines making 2500rwhp. i just customized everything to work in out V6 blocks both tall and short deck. if i were rich and bought shitloads of cranks im sure this would be sped up lol.
anyway, i hate hype and i never would have even made that first thread but i needed to see if people wanted these or just me.

FYI, I want it. Will this effect the rev limit or would it still be the same?

a 7500 rev limmit is fine but most setups wont need it because the turbos will all be too small for the big CI. ie. my car right now revs to 9000 and spools at 5000. this will bring my spool down to about 3500 and my rev limmit to 7200. if i went with larger turbos it would move back up but so does the power!

I'm interested in using the motor in N/A trim before I put boost on it. Do you think there would be any issues with ~8,400rpm limit? If I get the 4.5L kit I'll be pairing it with my DR Race Cams and I'd like to get the most out of it. :D

What kind of price are we looking at for the 4.5L kits anyways? I'd like to get a rough estimate so I can save the cash up and put it on permanent savings 'til your kit finalizes.

well, rev limits all depend on where it ends up dyno testing at. if the power starts to fall at 7500 then there is no reason to go more. pricing of 4.5s will be close to the 3.7s but i dont want anything in concrete untill they are ready.

Hey, no problem... I'm just waiting on the sidelines to see how they turn out for you. I'm planning on going "all-out" in 2007 and obviously a much higher displacement motor that's still a Mitsu 6-cyl would be a huge advantage.

what i mean is whatever the price ends up being for the 3.7 the 4.5 will be also. i was trying to do these for less then 5k we will see
Will there be any issues with the 4.5L fitting underneath the stock hood of a 3000GT? Isn't that using the Mitsubishi Montero 3.5L block and adding a different crank? I understand the 3.7 will be using the 6G72 correct?
