Power steering rack seal kit

Searched and it seems like no one has reported on whether or not the Mitsu power steering rack seal kit (MB864176) actually stops leaks. I have a project VR-4 I'm looking to fix and sell and I've got way too much money into the thing already, so telling me to get a remanufactured rack at Autozone for $225 doesn't work for two reason:

1) They don't exist, AutoZone, Advance Auto, and Pep Boys all want $375 or more
2) The retards there can't tell me if the racks are for a FWD or AWD car

The seal rebuild kit is about $90, but I have no idea what it includes and if it will actually stop a leaking steering rack. I have two leaks on the thing, one on the driver and one on the passenger side. I honestly cannot tell if the leaks are coming from inside of the tie rod boots or if it's from the hard lines.

So, to sum this all up:

Does the Mitsu power steering kit stop leaks?

What does it include?

Thank you for your time.

I don't have a good answer but I plan to get both the power steering pump seal kit and the steering rack seal kit. Although not a job I will be doing within the next week it will be within the next month or so.

I'm not familiar with steering racks but I would assume unless your rack has metal wear the only thing that would cause leaks would be the seals. Judging by the age of most of these cars (mine is a 92) I'm not surprised it leaks from the later.

I used the equivalent kit on an Eclipse power rack and it worked fine. The kit came with every seal you can imagine..most you won't need unless you plan on total disassembly of the rack. My leak ended up being at the line fittings which were running down on the rack giving me the impression the rack was leaking on the inside.
Once I got it removed I could see all the internal seals were fine.
Anyhow, the kit is more than complete to do the job.
