At the request of some friends, I am reluctantly beginning this thread earlier than planned. This next build has been a few years in the making, and I wanted to avoid a "hype" one without results yet even though I usually follow through with everything stated - mine and everyone's cars.

Taillight Tuesday! I took the Panda VR-4 on its last casual drive with TD05 this past weekend, and it FINALLY found its way back into the garage after many years of back-to-back builds for other close friends/clients. Eight years with the MHI EVO III 16G's with six of those for others to catch up here lol now v.4 can finally commence 😳 small window of time and still prioritizing wrapping up details with Tim's stroker showcar, soooo I will need to pick my battles with inspections, assessment, changes, and upgrades... starting with the usual and annual Blackstone UOA submission

For the unaware:
-IPS single brand new (probably only new one in the world)
-GReddy/MHI T88 70mm (initially... if setup proves itself, then graduate to G42-1200 or similar)
-TiAL F38's with 1bar
-DanAutoTuning one-off DS plenum

TBD but on-hand:
-R'venge built rear diff w/ EvoSpec billet cover
-R'venge built 5-SP w/ BH brace, billet synchro rings, OEM synchros, Quadco XR OS, Quaife front LSD, and welded center diff

[Single] Turbo Tuesday! Mocked up the one-and-only new IPS hot parts with my GReddy T88 so that I could note clearances and changes for desired fitment+heat management...

all in good planning and execution. But man... seeing that patience come to fruition for Panda v.4 dream build since college days lol (not even counting mid-life crisis billet crank stroker build)

What a view!

thank-you for your service, new IPS TD05 w/ MHI EVO III 16G's

"Final" Blackstone UOA report for the Panda VR-4 v.3 on TD05
😮‍💨
super extended interval at 17mos due to all of the other cars taking precedence plus family/dad life lol... extra confidence and reassurance going into the v.4 single turbo now

Some "old" plots from Spring 2021 before I switched to VP C85 race ethanol for that extra 5% and chemical concoction consistency of Patrón tequila LOL... per sandbagging ritual, always second gear on the inclined straightaway hehe...

Even more-so proven, and not theoretical! Time in the seat (no pun intended) surely pays off after all these years. Big bravo and hats off to Alan.

Awesome documentation as usual and thank you for the update on Panda @bboyalan. I like seeing some of the parts that have been acquired and installed. Personally, it puts into perspective on what the setup is meant for and backtracks to why a particular part was chosen for said purpose. Very well thought out.

(Also, #BTS over #BST (LOL), IFYKYK).

But to further elaborate on your observation... yes, that is long-term planning which is why many things carry over from previous steps; this is the same mindset and process that I advocate and implement here with others' cars. I also had no reason to keep on unnecessarily beating on the car in anticipation of bigger and better things. @ray pampena jokes about every pull moving the timer, but I always have told friends/clients that you only have so many "bullets" to fire off in terms of life remaining before shit hits the fan (next major breakage) - choose wisely and exhibit self control!
