Ride down to newport and add a il' 100octane ;-)

Seriously, though, when I had my 97 GSX I added a little octane booster once. 93 Octane gas + some booster. The car didn't like it. It seemed to run alright but at about half a tank of gas it seemed to do a little weird. My A/F Guage dropped all the way down (very lean). I just kept putting more gas in, trying to reduce the amount of booster in it, etc. Now, mind you, I coul dhave just had a screwey A/F guage because I noticed that the light on my boost guage owuld go out occasionally. But still, it seems a little odd.

Cheers,
Rob

I agree with twinturboman. Octane boosters are dangerous. Just save the dough for race fuel or if you have connections from Fisher Scientific buy a whole barrel of 99% pure octane and mix it with the gas yourself. I tried this when I was working for the NYU lab and the effects are the same as 100 Octane. But of course you must know how much to ad and this is when my Chemistry classes came handy. heheh take care!
