i cant get my car to bite me in the ass with nitrous. 700 psi and the shot is weak, and you can feel it cut out at 5krpm, i have NOS brand dry 70 shot any ideas what to check?
this blows.

mine did the same thing in my eclipse... that's why i say NO2 is overrated

no. no fuel upgrades as of yet. apparently the wet shot kicks you right in the ass. so i guess its off to somewhere to get a TT pump.
and a FPR.
anyway to convert a dry system to a wet?

Yeah, they have conversion kits for that.

But before you get into that who installed your system? Are you being activated under a WOT switch?

Oh yeah, you should have gone with a NX kit.
:(

Check out my site, the links below.;)

One problem is your bottle pressure is too low. If I'm not incorrect, all of the thermostatically controlled bottle heaters regulate pressure between 900psi and I think 1100psi.

How are you getting extra fuel for your nitrous if your fuel system is completely stock? If it's a dry kit, it should have come with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator or something to add fuel...otherwise you go lean.

im not exactly sure what jet ive got in the bypass,(got system used) the main is a 70 shot. what does the bypass jet do? ill have to look.... do they have to be the same size?

hollywood .yeha i have the WOT switch. it works fine. and now that i know a bit about nitrous. i KNOW i shoulda gone with NX. where can i get a conversion kit for my dry system?

no the kit didnt come with a fpr. where can i get a good rising rate fpr from?

the bypass is the jet that "T" in with your fuel pressure regulator and intake it add pressure to the regulator via the NOS regulator the blue round thing thats how it increases pressure is what size jet you have, the bigger the jet size the more pressure and more fuel it adds...call the nos tech line and ask what size should be in there. I was running a (.036) size if i remember correctly and I was running a main (.047) jet size...that is roughly a 100hp shot size...

take the main brass "jet" out and look to see what size they have stamped on it and verify that size with the nos tech line or there is a chart that will tell your what HP that jet size is equal to

a 50 shot is roughly a jet hole that is .036 thousanth on an inch...

ok i just checked that shit. and i was running a .042 in the bypass and a .036 in the main.
i switched the two. as per big kash had on his. so i should NOW have a 70 shot of juice.
if this is wrong let me know. also. kash i assume you had the NOS brand cause youre the only one that knows what the hell im talkin about. the bypass nozzle goes to the intake side right? just makin sure i did it right.

Ignore me...brain fart. Rising rate regulator is for non-turbo to turbo conversions, not dry nitrous. I always get the two mixed in cuz I've lumped them into "things you don't do" :)

EDIT : The "smaller" the bypass jet the more pressure it adds because it cause more pressure to build up....you were correct in having the .042 jet in the main and the .036 jet in the bypass...now that should give you a good 70hp shot with the added fuel pressure because the bypass jet is smaller. I had the NOS brand kit works great wish i still have it but i have too many miles on my car to be running nos...BTW a 70 is about max you want to run without a fuel pump...

Even now that you've corrected the jets -- with that 700 psi of bottle pressure, I don't think you'll get the kick you're hoping for. I've had the same issues with my system. If the bottle isn't the right temperature (around 85 degrees I think), you'll have inadequate performance. A bottle heater is always an option.

Whatever it is, the bottle should be at 900-1100 psi for optimal performance.

guys thanks for all your help. unfortunatley its 50 and rain here. so i cant use the nos for now. but im pretty sure this would fix the problem. i had the .42 jet in the bypass and the .36 in the main.
switched them up and now its on. just need some good weather.
