Motegi MR131 fit?

I've got a '94 base with 1G VR4 front brakes. I've been looking at a set of these wheels in 18x9 +35. Would they fit over the calipers? If not, what size spacers would I need to run to do so? I'm fine running up to 5mm or so. MAYBE a tad more if I really have to.

I've also been looking at some low-pressure cast Work Emotion CR reps in 18x8.5 +30 (Brand is ESR). If anyone has any fitment input about those (or the Work Emotion CR style in general), that's appreciated as well.

I have a set of 245/40-18 summer tires I'm putting on whichever set I get, so width isn't too negotiable.

Thanks!

Got them in yesterday and they are BEAUTIFUL. Gonna test fit them on a friend's 1G Stealth TT this weekend. So (other than the caliper lettering that the 3K has) I'll be able to see if they fit. I can also put up some pics of the back if you'd like. The last pic is closer to their true color. The room I was in distorted the colors a bit with too much yellow.

OK, so these were $706 shipped WITH a set of lug nuts and valve stems. They're flow formed (so forged barrel and cast face). The 18x9's that I got weigh 19lbs. The only way that I can figure they're so cheap is that they're only available in 4 sizes. Period.

Well, my story continues the same as many who have gone before me and many who will come after...........with spacers -________-

After being told by the sales rep (who was told by Motegi) that the wheels would fit, they don't. I tried them on a friend's 1G Stealth TT today and they BARELY touch the calipers. I plan to run some small hubcentric spacers (maybe 5-10mm) with them. They should work fine, as I don't track the car and don't plan to track it.

Damn, super disappointed and pissed that they told me they would fit.

Yeah, I have a friend with a set of 15mm spacers that I can test fit to see if they'll make the wheels clear. I (unfortunately) don't know that I'd be able to make up the space by just shaving the calipers.

Yeah, it sucks that I was told they'd work but they didn't. Oh well. The wheel did look great on the car I tried it on. Now we know!

Thoughts on a set of these? We manufacture the best Wheel Spacers money can buy | Motorsport Tech

I figure if I'm gonna get spacers (hopefully no more than 5mm. I'll do a test with washers soon) I might as well get good ones. These will match my car's hub size and the wheel's hub size so will be the best fit possible. I'll get extended lugs if it's anything over 3 or 4mm.

While those ARE cheaper I'd still need to get hub-centric rings for the wheels. I'd rather just spend the extra money to get spacers that convert the hub size as well. I also don't like how the ones on Supercar are considered hub-centric because the hub protrudes through.

You know a lot more about this than I do, I'm sure....I just feel like the fewer separate parts I can have between my wheels and my hubs, the better off I am.

This is a slightly different topic, but would you recommend getting spacers for the rear as well if I get them for the front (for handling purposes)?
