loud squeal when steering wheel is turned all the way.... how to solve?

Okay, here's the full story. If I start my car up when it's cold, roughly 7/10 times it will make this real high pitched loud sqealing noise. I'm pretty positive it's the power steering belt. Anyway, once my engine is warm, it doesn't squeal... unless** I turn the wheel all the way in either direction once the wheel stops turning I can see the power steering pump lock up and then hear it squeal. I, figuring it was a power steering pump problem replaced the pump, and it still does it. Do you think the used power steering pump I got was bad too, or is there a different problem I'm missing. I'm open to any suggestions. It's really loud and annoying and I want to get it fixed asap. Thanks all!

well I've had that same problem before on several different cars. It was always the amount of fluid in the reservoir. but you said that you replaced the pump. I would try to put a litle extra fluid in and see if that works. and last I would see if there is anything clogged in the line... that could be the problem.

i wonder mine is the same as this though.... I heard a belt squeal at around like 40mph and from 60 on all fine.... weird... I drive local my belt always making noise.... does this sound like timing belt or something else????... only make the squeaking sound when I step on gas pedal.... the sound would come on..... whenever I accelerate... weird.... and I turn my steering wheel it would make a sound too... but my resevoir is full though for power steering.... weird...

I tried tightening my belt repeatedly, but it didn't help, it had to be replaced (power steering belt).
