now i'm relatively new to VR4 and the 3s's, though i've been around them for a long time. My previous car was an 04 hyundai tiburon v6, now in that car, a fwd car a lsd made a world of difference in turning and launching and such, now in a vr4 which is a lot more of a car than a tiburon plus awd, i'm wondering is it really worth it to get, but then i look at sti's and they have 3 stock lsd's. Well main question is, is it worth it to get an lsd in a vr4/tt, does it make a huge difference?? thanx...

The car already has a viscous rear differential so I am assuming you mean an LSD for the front differential which is an open type. In my opinion I don't really think a front LSD is needed until you reach really high hp levels, where you can actually break traction frequently on one of these cars.

Hopefully one of the people who have installed a front LSD on an AWD can chime in here and tell of their experience.

A front 1 way lsd (see kormex) will help out in stability a little when driving your car hard, but I seriously doubt you will notice it's there if your other 2 factory LSD's are in tact. THe only reason I got one is because I split my stock front dif in half drag racing. If you are drag racing with a LOT of traction and power, defilitely get a front LSD to replace your stocker (it's stronger). otherwise, unless you just can't seem to get your car under control comming out of turns, I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah i know all the options for the insert lsd, i was lookin at kormex but they dont carry them anymore and supposedly supercar's r on backordr, either way i'm gonna stick with the stocker and unless something happens, stick with that until i really need an lsd, thanx

you would be suprised at the difference it would make for anything other then drag racing, even at my relativley low power levels, exiting turns you can really tell that having an open front diff is kicking your ass :)
