ive had other guys and car enthusiasts tell me that they like the wheels which i did myself, but some other say they they do not like them. Obviously its a taste issue and I LIKE THE WHEELS. But just from a drive by perspective, whats the impressions yall are getting. My gf says they need to be shinier.

thanks

Could be but im not to big of a chrome guy myself. Think about what your girl is saying. All girls want that. Jewelry is shiny and thats a girl thing ive come to learn. If you want to do something with it slap some 17's or 18's on it but i do like the color scheme you got going.

If you like them and you're happy with them then thats all that really matters. But since you asked... I personally don't like the wheels. I would've kept the factory grey/silver/metal/whatever the color was. That being said I think if you put on some more coats or tried a "shinier" paint like your gf recommended then it would look better.

I wouldn't do it but I don't think they look that bad.

Shiney just says your trying to get attention IMO.

^ i second that. gunmetal is the sex.

and i HATE those eclipse stockers. it's like driving with an ANTI-lip. yuck.

Will those fit my 3kgt??????

yea those wheels are def the sex.

this is really just kind of a temporary thing, i def want some legit rims, but i wanted black now, and my tires still have plenty of tread. So i'll prolly upgrade sometime next year.

addtl note: i put this on 3si bc id much rather of had a 3kgt, just cant afford the repairs while in college and i got this for a steal. Also, the guys on all the 3g eclipse forums....douchebags.

thanks a ton guys :)

I am still bitter they call it "eclipse". It is not in my eyes, but whatever. It figures the forum is douchey as well.

I like the look of flat black, but as you can see from other posts its a personal thing. A friend of mine put SL wheels (the stock 7 spoke design) on his GS-T, they were flat black and looked badass IMO.

My 300 has Black Chrome rims... and I love them personally. Just wish there was a little more Black to them.

The downside is when they get dirty they look like shit. Like crapy painted walmart rims, and they loose all thier shine.

They look AMAZING at night tho, can't beat the look.

But personally I would'nt ever buy Black Chrome rims for the 3000. Its just to much bling and weight.

i'll stick to powdercoating. black chrome will still be as heavy & prone to damage as regular chrome.

besides, if you REALLY wanted secksi wheels...you'd get them painted. 2 coats metallic flake base coat + 2-3 coats pearlized color of your choice.

Personally I'd either like a shiny black are a silver on the car better just because I think that rims that don't have some shine to them always look dirty, but the picture that you posted really doesn't look to bad.

3rd gen base 3kgt rims are the sex for stock rims.

you should trade your eclipse rims for those.
