328? Stock you will beat him...and he is right about school, at the end of the day he is in a Farrari (not his only car I am sure) and you are in a 3000/Stealth. If he was in an F360 or something higher you are in trouble, but again, at the end of the day he is in a Farrari.

 

those are weak ferrari .....race him for like 1000 bucks ...then after the race, when you win tell him you dont need his money...lol

 

I guess no matter what happens ferrari still get you way more in life just because of a name..... but at least ill have piece of mind.

in all seriousness, I used to be a tech at a classic Ferrari shop, we had a few 328s and 308s through there. They are sexy looking and sounding but not too incredibly quick in a straight line. They weigh a hair under 3200lbs, and put out 260/213. They run a quarter about as fast as a WRX, 14.5 @ mid 90s, and hit 60 in a little under 6 seconds. So, the stock VR-4 should be faster than that. Have fun busting a Ferrari guy's ego. Once you beat them they seldom talk to you ever again.

 

A 348 is about dead even with a TT/VR4. A 328 just won't cut it. You should have no problems beating him with a stock car, unless you REALLY suck at driving.
