well, had my injectors flow tested and cleaned (twice) at Cruzin Fermomance. What do you guys think about differences in flow rates and how much I should be conserned of this? They said it is the best they could do to match them...

You've got almost a 10% difference between injectors - that's a problem. That could easily throw off your cylinder-to-cylinder AFRs by a full point or more.

Converting the pounds per hour ratings on the sheet, you've got three 750's and three 690's. :( The best thing to do would be to get three more 690's or three more 750's (actual flow, not rated) and match the set. Sorry. :(

Have you had these for a while? If you bought them recently, I'd be on the phone demanding some new injectors.

Yeah, a +/- 3.5 to 5% difference is not good.

I had Rich (Cruzin') clean and flow test my Denso "550s" and the results were 2 flowed 576 cc/min and 4 flowed 582 cc/min. That would be 579 +/- 3 cc/min or 579 +/- 0.5%. I consider a 0.5% difference acceptable.

Rich told me how to translate his flow test results. The mL results are just for comparison because a formula must be used to convert these numbers to what would happen with gasoline. He said to take the lb/hr results and multiply by 10.5 to determine cc/min.

So your injectors flow (1 --> 6) 745 691 691 754 700 754 cc/min = 722.5 +/- 31.5 or +/- 4.36%

If it was me I would try to get a set that was matched better.

I wonder if the Evo "dual pattern" pintle caps could be installed on my Denso injectors? Could that be the only real difference between these injectors?

I did notice that the new pintle caps from Cruzin' are different than the old ones. In the pic below the old cap is lying next to the injectors.

scared to get my 660's flow tested now.

PS, is there no other way to get more flow out of them than cleaning them? I mean you would figure if the parts were factory made to the same specs etc they should flow relatively close...these are no where near!

there are companies out there that can increase the flow of the injectors..

I know for the STi theres a company that will rework the stock injectors to fllow another 100cc/min.

I dont know what they do though...

well, I paid much less than these are sold for. The only thing is to get some more Denso injectors and try to match them. I am in shitty situation. These are supposed to be one year old injectors...

Jeff,

My Evos look identical to the stock injectors (metal body, etc), but with a maroon top and green dual tips. You can hardly tell they arent stock actually do to the fact the color is very close. The part number on the side also says MDL560 I believe. You very well maybe to put the caps from your stock 360s on them. The Denso 550s and the Evo (Denso) 560s very well could have the same internals, they were so close in fact you could probably mix Evo560s and Denso 550s :p

So does anyone know what company can adjust the flow rates and how much it would cost? There are two pairs of 3 injectors in each that are matched... I might just sell them separately then in case if someone wants 3 injectors that are match. Let me know, I might let this set go if I cannot adjust the flow rates.
