How can I remove the entire clutch pedal assembly? The damn bolt that should hold the assembly up slid out of the pedal bracket.

It's really easy. Are you NA or TT?

NAs share the clutch and brake pedal assembly. TTs have it separate.

There's only one 12mm bolt that holes the clutch assembly to the frame. Obviously you'll need to have the cutch master cyl removed. After that, unplug the two pedal switches and pull down.

Greg, that's the info I needed. Gotta pull the cmc. Don't want to but I have no choice. Means I need to pull the bmc too. Know of a good guide (not sce's pics only) for the full process or should I use only the factory service manual?

Edit: 92 vr4. Should say so in my sig lol

There's 2 12mm nuts that hold the brake master to the booster. Undo them and just pull it forward (leave the hard lines attached, they will flex).

Then there are 4 12mm nuts that hold the booster to the firewall. You need to undo them inside the car as well as pull out the pin that attaches the booster to the brake pedal.

I think you can figure out what to do after that.

2 12 nuts for brake MC are inside the car? Then the other 4 are outside?

I'll check the FSM when I get home from this service call for work.

Right now I have the adjustment rod disconnected from the clutch pedal assembly. So once I free the cmc I should be able to pull it towards the engine bay to maneuver the pedal assembly, correct?

This will be fun... pulling both bmc and cmc to fiz this..then I get to bleed it all. Wonderful. Lol

You didn't need to remove the clutch pin. That whole assembly with the clutch booster comes out as one.

I mean the pin that attaches the adjustment rod to the pedal assembly. That part is attached to the booster iirc. Or mine is messed up. Cant turn the adjustment rod by hand.

I think in order to reattach the assembly I need to remove the booster. To do that the cmc has to get out of the way as well. Or, I'm just f'ing the whole thing up lol
