so the climate control display wont show but the ac will work! the guy i just bought it from said that when the cd player was installed it worked once or twice before then it stopped showing up? searched and came back with getting a new CC unit. would there be some fuses i need to check/wires? if so, which ones? im assuming your gonna point me to http://www.stealth316.com so ill check that out now. but im almost positive that its cd player related, thanks!

I had the same problems and found out how to fix it.

You need to take that display box out of the dash, If you want a simple solution buy a new one from mitsu = $800 or used for about $100.

The unit can be fixed yourself however. Take out the little screws on the back of the unit and look at the board. Chances are a capacitor or two leaked and a resistor and some diodes blew. If you have an electronics store buy these blown parts, about $6 and sodder them in. I have fixed two of these units myself this way.

P.S. I think the range of the resistors and capacitors are kinda high so you won't be able to get them at radio shack.

Sorry I can't help you right off the bat I'm away on business for the moment. I'll try to give more indepth detail when I have the time. For the most part I half assed the fix myself about 3 years ago. I just took out the display unit opened it up and saw a few component that were fried. I just soldered in the new components and it worked as good as new. I have a feeling that just like the ECU mitsu used shitty component that go bad after a few years.

check out this post for info on how I removed the display.
