thanks to all that helped me previously

still dealing with the same issue and thinking its fuel now.

to change fuel injectors, is there any precaution i need to do before taking them out? disconnect battery? do i need to do anything special like unplug any fuses or anything? wanna make sure there isnt no special procedure needed.

any simple way to test them?

Here is my suggestion. After you remove the plenum, but before you take off the fuel rails take a fuck ton of shop towels and shove them down between the lower plenum and the heads. If you don't I guarantee you will drop one of the fuel rail spacer/insulator things down into the oblivion that is the top of the motor.

thank you thank you

so i bought lucas injector cleaner and was wandering and did not even think about this until i have already bought everything. is it safe to just let the car idle instead of driving it? i know the label says to drive it but i was thinking of letting it idle for like an hour to see if it helps at all with my bad idle.

is there any issue or problem with that?

Yep. I did injectors not long ago and forgot about the fuel rail spacers and one went missing. Had to take off lower plenum too and it sucked because to do that you need to take off timing belt covers to get to one bolt. I say put towels everywhere and just make it priority to remove the spacers from the car first and get them to a safe place lol.

Had to do the same damn thing, which is how I leaned to use towels. Also wtf is the point of that bolt under the timing cover Mitsubishi? I wonder if that bolt is even necessary.

Its the bolt that makes you yell "WHAT THE F%*$!!!!" after taking off all the other bolts and it still not coming off. Thats its only reason for existing. And if you drop it, oh man, dont even think about that! I use a magnet thru a craftsman max access socket on that bastard to get it started lol.
