Anyone know the difference between getting a camber kit and an entire control arm? Do they do the same thing? (get camber back in spec) I have my intrax springs and im waiting to get these damn control arms, the dude who i am having put them on says i need them, but i am wondering if i will need anyything additional for the camber/toe. Also, this guy quoted me at 300 bucks to install them, ive heard people say that, that is way too much and some shops will do it for $150, i live in CT anyone know of any because 300 seems to be the only price i can get around here?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but a camber kit and control arms basically do the same thing (get camber back in spec). There's this one dude on this board I think his name is Jays93VR4 that makes a pair of control arms for like $160ish. Installing them should be relatively cheap as it's not a PITA to do. I think the most troublesome part of the install is to hammer the old arms off. Hope it helps. Btw, I don't believe anyone makes a camber kit for our cars. If you lower you car, you will most likely need control arms to adjust them back to spec but it's not a big deal if you don't get them as I know Intrax don't lower the 3/S that much if it's a base model. If you've got a VR4, then you definitely need to get the arms as it gets lowered more with any spring.

Good luck.

yeah control arms basically are the camber kit for the 3s, you will only need them in the rear to get that back in spec. as for the toe, caster, you dont need anything for those...and then just an alignment when its all said and done. and they dont take that long to put in. that labor fee is a rip off.

thanks guys, actually i did find camberkits for our cars believe it or not, i wish i could remember the website but they only had front ones for some reason.

I also saw posts about jays93vr4 and i e-mailed him but no response yet, ill just have to try again.

I purchased mine from Jay for the rear and they are pretty much the same as the ones 3SX sells. When I when to the alignment shop I had them with incase I needed them. I ended up not using them because I only had -1 degree in the rear and decided to keep it that way. Since they already had the car on the lift they were just gonna charge me acutal labor time if the were needed.

This seems to be the cost effective way to go since you always need an alignment if you replace the control arms.

yeah, some ppl will def. need them...in fact i think most do. you got lucky with that and were able to save a few bucks. however keep your eye on the camber in the rear in case it gets worse.

Anyone know someone who makes the rear control arms?Jerggy who said he made the non-turbos has stopped, does jays93vr4 make the non-turbos now? Any info would be helpful, i hate to think of having to spend 400 bucks at 3sx.
