I think you may have just answered your own question. If the headlights are the same, meaning mounting points r the same... doesnt that mean the buckets are the same too? 1999 headlights fit in a 1995 3000gt, and vice versa. Aren't all 1994+ 3000gt headlight buckets identical?

I just converted my 97 to a 99. The headlight buckets 94+ are all the same. The lights fit no problem into the buckets. Except, you will have to buy a 99 bumper and turn lights or it will look kinda like a kit car since the headlights wont fit into the bumper properly. When I replaced my 97 bumper to a 99 some of the brackets for fitting the bumper were different and the ducting and splash panels were different as well. Hope this answers your question.
