Question about powdercoating calipers.

I am thinking about sending my calipers over to Maximal and have them powder coat them in the "nearly chrome" color. Has anyone seen this? Has anyone gotten calipers powder coated by them? If so, pics? Results? Thoughts?

Thanks, in advance, for the responses.

Terry's work is definitely top notch. I just got mine done this past winter with him since I got tired of the paint that I previously used chipping off, but I don't have any pictures of them and I'm not near the car right now to get any pictures. His work is definitely very good though and I'd highly recommend them.

:stupid: I got mine done red and couldn't be happier. Honestly I don't think nearly chrome would look on calipers and I would stick to red or black. You can defiantly tell Terry pays great attention to detail and takes pride in his work. I used to have my calipers painted as well and the paint ran every time I washed them. Now I can keep them nice and looking after every car wash.

Heres the only pic I have of my calipers but it doesn't do it any justice.

I might be looking into this soon myself. Are there any pics from Maximal showing this "almost chrome"? I would like to see what it looks like.

For you guys that sent calipers to Terry- did you strip them first, or does he do that as part of his prep? And, can he powdercoat the caliper but leave the "MITSUBISHI" lettering clear? I just asked him that but haven't gotten an answer yet.

Mike, are those the vinyl STEALTH stick-ons? Nice! Wish that there was a set for Mitsu, but it's a lot of letters I know

So when you sent him your calipers, what did you remove beforehand?

I saw some silver/chrome calipers on a black 6 series BMW, and I thought it was amazing. The chrome wheels with the similar calipers and clean rotors looked very nice. It just seems everyone sticks with red or black, and I am not too fond of the red. They are black now, so if I were to powder coat them, I would hope to get a different color. Just personal preference, I guess.
