help with brake light

Hi I have a weird thing happening. I have the brake light comming on for anywhere from like .2 - 1.5 seconds at certain times when im driving the car.
This almost always happens when I launch the car, sometimes happens when I shift gears, and sometimes happens when I accelerate very quickly. I don't feel like there is any loss of performance of any sort but I am still worried as to why the brake light would be comming on.

Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you're talking about the brake light on the dash, it's usually because the brake fluid is low. Check the fluid reservior in the engine bay. If it is indeed low, it could be either because you've got a brake fluid leak, or the brake pads are way overdue for change. If the pads are all good, top up the brake fluid just a little. If the problem re-occurs soonish, then you have a leak..

If you mean the rear stop lights comes on, then the brake pedal return spring is loose/come off, or the brake light switch on the pedal is loose/needs adjustment.
