Hello everyone,
Looks like there were some past threads (at least 9 years old) about the P0105 fault code. Most of them had to do with putting a supercharger or turbos on an SL (and the person runs into multiple chip/relay problems when taking a NA engine and throwing induction on it, due to ignition timing issues, etc.).
My post is for VR-4 P0105 codes. 1998 manual transmission, 250,000 miles, stock turbos but does have a G-Reddy boost controller. P0105 code comes up last week. Driveable, but horrible gas mileage and annoying/scary throttle hesitation.
Here is what's online about the fault code P0105:
Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, or harness is open or shorted, or poor electrical connection
Faulty ECM (Engine Control Module)
The dealership is telling me that instead of the above, it's a combination of worn-out ignition coils and carbon buildup on the induction manifold. $600 parts and labor. If that fixes it, I won't post an update. I will if something is still wrong after they fix those two issues.
