Bypass front Active Aero skirt?

My front Active Aero venturi skirt has been stuck in the down position. This trips the AERO light and the rear wing won't work. Rather than fix the front skirt in the freezing Wisconsin winter, is there a bypass or a sensor I can "trick" into thinking it is operational. If I can fool the front sensors the rear wing should work again. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check to see if the metal bar that goes across the front of your active areo is bent. It needs to be straight for it to work. If it is bent it is real easy to get straight again. Other than that I dont know how to trick the system.

my front aero does not move. when i start the car, if i put the aero button on it lifts the rear wing. if i wait several secs, the rear wing stays up till i turn off the car. if i take off too soon it simply goes back down.

i believe this works cause the front wing is unplugged. on the pass side there is a plug next to the motor for the aero unit, try that.

Pokey293> If I click the "Auto" the rear wing will rise, but as soon as the computer checks the status of the Active-Aero system and finds the front has failed it will drop the rear wing. Is your rear wing active during driving--does it move up and down correctly?

There are five pins in the connector that plugs into the front active aero. I would think that if you knew what resistance each of those pins is supposed to see under normal operations of the front unit, you could just plug in some radio shack resistors to trick the comptuer into thinking the front is working.

Got it figured out. The Wisconsin road-salt had corroded the metal bar into the hangers. I took off the entire assembly, cleaned it up real shiny with wet-or-dry paper and oil, re-assembled it, and now it works fine.
