Here's a picture of the wrist pin that failed in my motor causing a second rebuild. These are the tapered wrist pins that come with gt pro/ross pistons and are made by western wrist pin. You can see from the pic, it looks like the material is brittle and didn't shear. Instead - it looks like it snapped. I also had to get a new set of rods because the machine shop gt pro used to use - bensons - completely ruined my connecting rods. Where the bearings seat as well as the mating surface were damaged beyond repair by bensons.

Unreal.I've heard them get sloppy and rattle.But that is poor.It's like the metal ceaved away like a rock or stone will if hit just right.
