Me and my friend both have it in our base GTs. The steering wheel shakes bad and you can also hear it when the brakes are applied firmly at fast speeds. I don't mean real fast(OK, that too). But even at freeway speeds. Does it mean the rotors are warped? Can a simple turning of the rotors cure this? Thanks.

At approximately 98K miles my '91 GT-SL began exhibiting the same symptoms whenever I applied the brakes at highway speeds. I later learned that I had a couple of warped rotors. I had all four replaced and that completely cured the problem.
If you want to be sure, take your car to a shop that you trust and they can check your rotors for you. Good luck!

you are getting hot spots and/or warping of your rotors. Time to replace. If you are gonna do it, do it right and get pads and rotors for all 4 wheels. I would say go with Porterfield rotors and Metal Matrix pads. you can order them from a few Stealth/3000GT places online but I like http://www.dynamicracing1.com/ they have a good selection and decent pricing.
