Drove my car for a few months with a busted PS belt - bitch to parallel park these cars without PS. On the positive side, I liked how the steering wheel felt on the HW - better feel of the road without power steering.
(Discussion a while back about trying to come up with a way to reduce the amount of power assist to provide better road feel.)
When you replace the PS belt, make sure you replace all of them. I waited a couple of months until I did my second 60K service and replaced all of the belts.
