I put my TT above my steering wheel because it has a built in shift light. Boost controller went in the center console. A lot of options for these two items.

a friend of mine with an Rx7 put his above his steering wheel ... looks kind of bad imo, but I have my o2 voltage gauge there (which doesn't look too great either, but it's a lot smaller than the timer)

I am not sure how it would look in an RX-7. Mine is tied into a theme and think it blends well. Here is a pic while everything is lit up. Really helps when racing also, when the TT goes from blue to red......you know what to do.
