Exactly what parts and modifications are needed to run a nos setup. I have heard we cant handle too much running through, I would like ot know what would be the cheapest, most effective way to go. Thanks guys!:D
<p> oh yeah dont forget to enclude the prices

just buy a wet NOS kit made for EFI cars.. then get an A/F gauge, EGT gauge, NOS bottle pressure gauge, Fuel pressure gauge, and a S-AFC and you'll be set to run a 110 shot.

cost.. about $1000 for a good, complete setup.
Buy a walbro fuel pump $169
A basic wet system will run you $550.

A kit including a bottle heater, pressure gauge, fuel safety switch, and blow down tube will run $300, add $100 if you want a purge valve.

Copper spark plugs are like $2 each.

Get an A/F gauge and EGT gauge, that should be around $200 total for those 2 gauges.

You're looking at around $1100 to get it done the right way.
thanks for the advice guys
What Exactly would a S-afc do for a nos setup? I was under the impression that its would be on continually so either you set itt up for normal driving and run lean when using nos or set it up for nos and run rich while driving. Unless you used it for bigger injectors, then that would make sense. Personally I'd suggest using that money to run a supercharger or turbos..........no bottles to refill (can get expensive).:D
NOS

There are plenty of places on teh web that have complete sets. I like:

Have fun but be careful with that shit.

U can run a 75shot of nitrous for like $1500 (with all the bells and whistles). The supercharger kit alone is $4k, the turbo kit is $6k. You could get nitrous for less than the cost of installation on the turbo kit.

Bang for buck - you just can't beat nitrous. Personally, I might be lucky enough to find one person to race a month. I'm not exactly going to go broke filling my bottle anytime soon.

I'm not going broke either getting the bottle filled but it is rather annoying having to find a local place to fill the tank every 2 months or so. I have an automatic so the power never really gets to the wheels fully. I'd rather just be able to gun it whether I want and not have to worry about having the bottle in and on and at the right pressure. BTW, I'm working on a turbo kit for about $2000.......using old vr4 parts.
I awhile back look at a site where this guy whom put N.o.S in his car.
parked the damn thing in the garage and the bottle
blew up
Taking the the trunk apart and blowing some of the garage up.

How safe is it to store nitrous
and what should you keep it away from ?
Hans. What does the fuel safety switch and blow down tube do?
I know I'm not hans but

fuel safety switch shuts of the nitrous flow if for some reason you lost pressure...bad regulato fuel pump stop working cloged fuel filter...thats so you dont run lean and mess you engine up.

blowdown tube... attaches to the bottle if ,hope it does not happen the pressure in the bottle reaches 1800psi it blow the safety valve off and all the nitrous would fill the car but with the tube it direct the nos out through the car.
Hell I might be kinda happy with out the tube then. If its going tfill the whole car.:p

Thanks for yourhelp bro
That car that blew up was due to lack of common sense. The gentleman installed his bottle heater blanket incorrectly so it was always on thus creating a high pressure in the tank. Next, he probably doubled up the safety blow off discs ( little metal disc which breaks if there is too much pressure in the tank) so it would hold more pressure. Combination of mistakes nearly killed him.

Actually he left the bottle valve closed and the bottle heater on. The heater couldn't get a temp, and just kept heating and heating - until it blew his hood through a wall into his house (the maxima), and peeled his trunk back like a banana.

Like I said, the increased temperature due to the bottle heater caused the pressure to rise too high. And like I said the safety blow off disc was either doubled up or sealed off so it couldn't do what it was designed to do and fracture, thus releasing the pressure and preventing his car from becoming swiss cheese.
