I don't know. I bought it like that... I had a tan interior in my old red 97 base and most pearl white 3000GT's have the tan interior also. But on the flip side, I have seen red 3000GT's/Stealth's with black interiors also. So I guess the first owner ordered it with a black interior. Who knows? But I know one thing, I like the black interior a lot better than the tan...

It has 45K miles on the odometer and I got it for $24,500. They had it priced at $26,900 at first until I talked them down.

I don't think what I paid was half bad IMHO. It retails somewhere around $23,500 at Kelly Blue Book site, so taking what I paid and how rare the car is, I'm pretty satisfied. I'm sure I could have found a better deal somewhere else, but I'm not going to travel half way across the U.S. to find it. And I wanted a 3rd gen too.

EDIT: Actually it had 45.5K miles on the odometer and now it has around 46K miles on it. I still haven't got over the "newness" of it and want to drive everywhere.

Looks real sweet! I think you got a pretty good price judging from the year, miles and pictures. Long as you are happy with the deal.

I got my VR4 for the same price with a little less mileage about 6 months ago. I have never once questioned my purchase...how can you put a price on love

yeah! i like it! It worried me for a bit because people were questioning why I had a black interior. I guess I got lucky!

is the black interior that uncommon for a 97? Or is it just the white exterior, black interior combo?

Starting in '96, Dodge Stealths could only be ordered with black or tan interior. About 2/3rds of the cars received black and the other 1/3 tan. I'd assume the same interior choices carried over to the '96 - '99 VR-4s. I'm sure the black interior has to be the most common from 1996 on.

I like the black interior in my '96 much more so than the dark gray in my '92. It looks more sporty for some reason.
