I am going to replacing my cover with a polished valve cover. I went to auto zone and checkers. They quoted me $45.00 for the valve cover gasket.

Does that sound right?

that sounds high to me. I got a head gasket from autozone for $35.

What are you doing with your original valve cover? You wanna sell it?

Is that for all the gaskets? Remember you not only have the main gasket you have 3 gaskets that go around the spark plugs too.

I know because I polish and powder coat valve covers all the time.

The price is for all the gaskets.

A friend of mine let me borrow his spare valve cover and I had that polished. When I swap out the cover, my cover goes back to him.
