there's two of them. the split second ARC2 and the HKS VPC (vein pressure converter). the HKS eliminates the MAS completely and the ARC2 uses a larger diameter unit. they are both fuel controllers as well.
use the search function and look for "arc2 vs vpc" and you will find a couple of LONG threads about this sort of thing.
but basically, the VPC uses a computer chip which estimates what the fuel curve should look like according to throttle input and the arc2 has an actual MAS.
