We got the head off the car and found some intersting things. It seems the piston's have hit the valves at one point? There are marks in the pistons, and the valves in the head don't match. Look's like someone broke a timming belt at one point. All the bolts in the head are non factory, they are cheap replacements from some discount hardware store. At least 3 of the manifold studs were broken off... One of the turbo to manifold studs also rusted and broke. Another was crossthreaded.... The knock sensor is on its last leg, and the sealant that is normally around the wires isn't... The timming belt(although it's BRAND new) is showing signs of wear(specifically in the teeth, damn napa belts).

In other words, there's some more work to be done... but things are comming along alright. The good news is that the EVO manifold and o2 housing's came in and look really impressive. Gonna get them ported (along with the 14B) before they go on the car. ;) It'll be nice when it's all finished.

p.s. anyone have a knock sensor for a 1G DSM they wanna sell me? Please? Pretty please?
