Anyone have a Turbo XS BOV? I'm thinking about getting one for the Stealth and passing the Greddy Type-S BOV down to the VR-4.
What about fitment? I think it still retains the "closed loop" system like the Greddy does...is that true? Their adapter kits only list 91-93 cars. Maybe the 6-speed linkage gets in the way. It's not a big deal on my Stealth since I dremeled away alot of that weight on the linkage to make more clearance for the BOV.
How does it sound? The website says it's really loud:

I wouldn't mind going to a louder valve on the Stealth as long as it still functions perfect.

Don't have an answer to your question, although I have that BOV, I haven't installed it yet. I'm interested in the same thing though. If I get it installed this year I'll let you know something!! Car is still in pieces, as it's been since Feb.

I’m also thinking of the XS type H, but didn’t buy it yet.

You should check with http://www.alamomotorsports.com/ , they sell TurboXs and the type H they are showing is different from the one on your link.

Just my two cents:

I would go to the HKS SSQV unit. I have posted on this a number of times but I really love the HkS. Is is far louder than the Greddy, it's blows off faster allowing faster shifts, and it sounds so cool.

I never have a porblem running rich or stalling or anything like that.

I have the type H34 on mine. I like it. Its acually quieter than the stock valve. As for fitment-I don't know, I have a 91TT. Fit perfect on it though. I put all the packer washers in mine and under easy driving I get a sequential sound out of it. Kinda neat.

Is yours a universal BOV or was it a kit for the 3/S? I found the SSQV for $200 online, but don't know if we need anything special to make it work for us.

You have to buy the kit made for the 3/S. The universal BOV will not work. The price with the kit (whihc is the most quality kit I have seen from any compay) is going to run you around $350.

There are not specialists in 3SI but the prices are right.

The store is called Final Lap, the one to contack is Pat Sauvé 819-561-0987, and he doesn’t have an E-mail yet but will get one and get back to me.

He did confirmed with me TurboXs typeH + H kit = $290.93CDN
In the mean time you can always contact me at [email protected] and I’ll try to get you a price.:D

I got my type H34 for $184 including shipping directly from TurboXS. It needs no kit-it is a bolt on part. If you buy one of their other valves you'll need the kit.

How do you like the sound of the Turbo XS BOV? Is it closed loop or open?

Hey guys, can some one explain to me what makes a good BOV? There are so many on the market now and I have no clue as to what makes them better than the stocker. Thanx. :)

The H34 is not the 110 db.

H34 is to replace the stock BOV in a close loop, if you want the 110 db you need to look at the $169.00 one and it need’s a kit to be installed. ;)

"NOTE: A blow off valve is a very important upgrade when upgrading your car. The function of a blow off valve is to relieve compressor "surge" caused when the throttle plate closes under boost. The throttle plate closes as you let off to slow down or shift. If this happens while the air is pressurized, then the air will be forced back to the turbos, causing surge. If repeated, this may eventually cause damage to the turbocharger. An additional benefit of a blow off valve is quicker boost recovery. By blowing off the unneeded air, the turbo is able to recover much quicker after a shift without having to force back the initial charge air.. We recommend and run this in our cars!" - Dynamic Racing
