Most damage to turbos occurs because after a hard run, the engine is shut off when you park. Over time this causes "coking", sort of a build up and contributes to premature wear in the turbos. By letting the motor idle for awhile before shutting it off, it allows the turbos to cool down less drastically. A turbo timer is an electronic device that allows the motor to idle for awhile after you take out the key and exit, then shuts it off automatically. We're in a group purchase for the Blitz model (just over $100.) if you're interested. Just do a search for blitz dual turo timer. While you're at it, dig up Roger G's site for a primer on turbo's, and the "guinea pigging" he did.
