Turbo setup

I have a 97 3000gt (SOHC), what parts would i need to turbocharge it. I'm planning on getting parts from another VR-4. Is this worth it? and How much would this cost? Thank!

It would be cheaper to transplant a J-Spec engine, or go with the new Supercharger kit. I talked to TEC a while ago, and they said that a single turbo kit for the N/A would run well over $8K. I suppose you could swap the exhaust manifolds, and all the necessary parts, however, you couldn't run much over about 5 or 6 psi on the stock compression. And that would still be quite a bit of cash for the swap.

(Please excuse me, as I'm a little mentally incapacitated at the moment. :D )
Engine transplant...

How much would an engine transplant cost? (JSPEC) thanks for replying.
Consider trade up

This gets discussed much here, try a few searches.

The general feeling is it is significantly cheaper to trade or sell and buy a vr4.

The only reason not to would be if you did NOT want AWD, 6 speed or standard, active exhaust, etc.

for example, search on 'turbo n/a' yields 237 results about 1 out of 10 of them discuss what you want.

This guy has done it :http://www.geocities.com/hanscertl/
