When I get back on either mid-tour, or back for good from Korea I am going to more then likely install 355i turbo's from Brian. I kind of looked at the engine, and it looks like to remove the front turbo all I need to remove is the front heat shield; pipe connecting turbo to front pre-cat, and associated hoses. Now as far as the back one goes, pretty much the same as the front. But by looking at it I would have to remove it from the top. Is this the case, and if so is it mandatory to take off the plenum?

Not mandatory to remove the plenum but helpful because then it's out of your way. It is probably worth the time (20 min.) to remove it. Be sure to keep a towel over the intake manifold to keep from dropping anything in there.
